Two young researchers have been honored with prestigious roles in international organizations, underscoring Lodz University of Technology's role in global scientific collaboration.
In the Chemical Abstracts Service
Gabriela Kowalska, PhD has been selected by the Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS), operating under the American Chemical Society, as CAS Ambassador in Poland for the period from February 1, 2026, to January 31, 2027. CAS is one of the world's most important institutions for collecting and analyzing chemical information, supporting scientists through advanced tools and databases. The CAS Ambassador Program brings together leading young scientific leaders, selected directly by the organization based on their achievements, activity, and teaching engagement. Its goal is to develop the academic community through the promotion of modern information resources, including the CAS SciFinder Discovery Platform.
In her role, Dr. Kowalska will conduct training sessions and presentations, disseminate knowledge about CAS tools, and collaborate with scientists to identify research needs and opportunities for using available solutions. Her activities will also include pointing out potential areas of cooperation between CAS and the academic community, as well as initiating valuable partnerships and events.
The researcher works at the Institute of Food Technology and Analysis at the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences.
