Educational offer

The educational offer of the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences includes seven fields of studies with a general academic profile:

  • Bioeconomy
  • Biotechnology
  • Ecotechnologies and Bioprocesses
  • Cosmetic Technology
  • Food and Nutrition Manager
  • Food Technology and Human Nutrition
  • Industrial Biotechnology
  • Sustainable Bioeconomy

We recruit candidates for full-time studies. We conduct first-cycle studies including engineering (Bioeconomy, Biotechnology, Ecotechnologies and Bioprocesses, Food Technology and Human Nutrition) and undergradute (Food and Nutrition Manager) studies as well as second-cycle studies awarded with MSc degree (Biotechnology, Cosmetic Technology, Food Technology and Human Nutrition) awarded or MSc Eng. degree (Biotechnology, Cosmetic Technology, Food Technology and Human Nutrition, Sustainable Bioeconomy) awarded.
The Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Science also provides the opportunity to choose study in fields of study where classes are conducted in English as the language of instruction:

  • Industrial Biotechnology

After completing the Master’s degree, graduates have the opportunity to develop their scientific interests as part of doctoral studies at the TUL Interdiscplinary Doctoral School.

The Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Science conduct research in the discipline of Food and Nutrition Technology.
After defending the doctoral dissertation, the graduate demonstrates broad specialist knowledge, the ability to cooperate with other research centers in the country, university teaching experience and research preparation necessary for further scientific work. Those who don’t plan to purpose an academic career will use the cognitive and self-education skills as well as teaching and organizational experience acquired in the course of their studies in their professional work.
